As an Early Years Apprentice, you will help to look after and support young children in the nursery. You’ll work alongside experienced staff while studying towards your Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification. This role is a great first step for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to start a career in childcare.

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Support children’s development through play, stories, and games
• Help tidy up toys and equipment after activities
• Keep play areas clean and organised
• Follow health and safety rules
• Join in and help set up play and learning activities
• Help with meal and snack times
• Make sure children are safe, happy, and well cared for at all times

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

• 1 workshop a month delivered at either Bromley or Plumstead Campus, based on candidate/employer preference
• Bromley campus is delivered on a Tuesday and Plumstead is delivered on a Thursday

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

• Progress onto a Level 3 Early Years Educator

£11,778 to £19,047.60 a year
